More photo ops were up next: Rebecca Mader and David Anders!
In a separate room, I lined up for a picture with Rebecca Mader (i.e. Zelena, the wicked witch of the west). "Love the dress!" was her response as I posed next to her. "Thanks!" I said, "Let's flash some #Wicked!" - and we did. It was a fun picture full of sass! (See under Conventions). "See you at dinner; I'm sitting with you!" I called behind me as I walked away.
My photo with David Anders (Dr. Whale) was a bit humorous, as he started grinning when he saw me approach in full costume. All I had to say was "You know exactly what I'm going to do!" and he leaned his cheek towards me so I could stick my finger in his dimple yet again! A deliciously mischievous picture.
The private autograph session was wonderful. Upon entrance, we were told to go to Lana's table first. I had her sign three: One for my mom (she wrote a complimentary message to her regarding the dress), one for a fellow Evil Regal sister in Russia (a surprise for her, she did not know she was getting it), and one for me. Lana is a very gracious woman, and so kind to her fans. Thank you, Lana!
Sean MaGuire (Robinhood) was incredible. He was thrilled to sign a special autograph for my friend in Russia (she's a huge Sean fan), and inquired as to where I found the fabric for my dress, which he really liked. I got to take pictures with him on my phone (thankfully someone else took it for us, as my selfies are ALWAYS terrible). I asked Sean for permission to kiss his cheek during the picture. He said yes, much to my delight! I'm pleased to say that picture went crazy on Twitter, as I titled that post "I WIN!" :::::happy dance:::::
Rebecca Mader greeted me with "Hello Sis!" and "That dress...you nailed it." Thank you, Bex!
David Anders said "Why did you choose that headshot!?!?! I hate that one!" Sorry David...I'll choose better next time!
Beverley Elliott (Granny) took pictures with me, and I was so happy to see her again! She truly is a wonderful woman. Classy and Sassy. I would love to have drinks with her and chat an evening away.
Michael Coleman (Happy) was characteristically happy, as well as generous. I was so sure I had purchased his headshot for signing and I couldn't find it anywhere!! He whipped an extra one out and signed away. So kind! Thank you, Michael!
Faustino Di Bauda (Sleepy) took the time to write a thoughtful note with his autograph, and I'm pleased to say we are friends. He is one of the most kind, genuine, and sincere people I've ever met. Bless him.
Lee Arenberg (Grumpy) gave me a devilish grin as he signed - classic Lee. Drinks after the day was wrapped up? Sure, of course! Why not!
Eion Bailey (August W. Booth) was the one actor I regretted not conversing with more. I DID get a picture with him, thankfully! My friend (Maid Marian) had some great conversations with him and had the best things to say about him. I will say that in the few minutes I had with Eion, he was very deep, sincere, and personal.
Gil McKinney (Prince Eric) flashed me a nice smile as he signed a headshot for me. He was quite popular with the young girls, but I did not get a chance to spend any time with him, unfortunately.
Emilie de Ravin (Belle) told me, "You know we can't stop talking about your dress!" Now, I have to say that Emilie is one of the sweetest ladies I've ever met. She is genuinely as kind and beautiful in person as she appears on screen. When the autograph session was wrapping up, she was signing an autograph for me, and I had planned on getting a second one for my little sister. I realized the last ticket I had to claim was for a photo with actor of choice...but I'd already gotten all the ones I wanted. I apologetically asked her if we could pretend it was an autograph ticket instead. (As a note, sometimes the actors are told to adhere very stringently to all rules, no exceptions, and that was the case a lot). Emilie promptly tossed the ticket, grabbed the headshot I'd chosen for my sister, and signed it with love. What a sweetheart. Thank you, Emilie!
We were rushed out of the room with an armful of memories.
To be continued....again....
